Is sharing my story really safe? What if I’m undocumented?

Your safety is our top priority. You have complete control – share anonymously, use a pseudonym, or choose which details to include. We limit access to your information and never publish anything without your explicit written permission. We can remove or change identifying details like locations, employers, or dates. Many undocumented immigrants have safely shared their stories through our platform by focusing on their experiences rather than specific identifying information. Your story can create powerful change while keeping you protected.

I want to help but don’t know anything about immigration. Where do I start?

Start with our free immigration advocacy training program! In just a few sessions, you’ll learn the real facts about immigration, how to counter common myths, and effective ways to advocate for change. No experience needed – just bring your compassion. If you’d like to sign up, please send us a message!

How can my organization partner with Stories of Immigrants?

We partner with businesses, schools, faith communities, and nonprofits to amplify immigrant voices. Partners can sponsor story collection events, host advocacy trainings, fund specific programs, or integrate our stories into their DEI initiatives. Email us at partnerships@storiesofimmigrants.org to explore how we can work together.

I’m an immigrant who wants to help other immigrants. What can I do?

Your lived experience is invaluable! You can share your story (anonymously if needed), join our story committee to help review and support other storytellers, or participate in ally network hub. We have various volunteer opportunities like helping with events, outreach, and community organizing. Contact us to discuss which opportunity matches your interests and availability.
